The Arizona LGMA is pleased to share the following food safety training opportunities for LGMA members, their growers, and harvest crews.

Doctum Online Food Safety Training Program for Produce

On-demand Virtual Training

Arizona LGMA has a free online training course called Metrics 101, featured along with courses from California LGMA and the Yuma Safe Produce Council on a shared training platform. Upon completing each of the courses you will receive a certificate of completion.

25/26 Metrics Update

During the office hour we will discuss the 2025/2026 Metrics changes, as well as educational resources that are available.

New Cleaning and Sanitizing Harvesting Equipment Training

November 20 @ 8:00 am MST | Yuma | ENGLISH

 

This training module focuses on teaching the proper cleaning and sanitizing practices of leafy greens harvesting equipment and utensils. The Cleaning and Sanitizing Harvesting Equipment Training course has been developed to:

·  Assist the leafy greens industry in implementing practices for growing, harvesting, and transporting leafy greens that conform to the LGMA Metrics.

·  Provide the knowledge, tools, and resources necessary to properly train sanitation crew managers and employees in proper cleaning and sanitizing practices.

·  Ensure that leafy greens industry trainers are equipped to train other employees to perform these procedures consistently and uniformly.

New Arizona LGMA Environmental Assessment Training

November 21 @ 8:30 am MST | Yuma, AZ | ENGLISH

 

The objective of this program is to teach Supervisors and food safety personnel how to perform “Pre-Season, Pre-Harvest and Daily Harvest Environmental Assessments.” This workbook is part of the Arizona Leafy Greens Food Safety Training Kit, and was recently updated to include pre-season environmental assessments. The information in this program is presented through a brief explanation of the concepts and several activities, case studies, and quizzes.

Food Safety Training

AZ LGMA is pleased to offer free, on-demand training for member companies.  Through this program an experienced trainer will come to you and provide training for your employees on the fundamentals of leafy greens food safety (covering modules 1, 2 and 3 of the AZ LGMA Leafy Greens Food Safety Kit 2011 version).  All participants will receive a certificate valid for one year.
